What to Know about Salesforce Winter '25

As Practifi clients, your firm benefits from regular product upgrades. In addition to our own Practifi product releases, Salesforce has seasonal product releases you can also take advantage of. The Salesforce Winter '25 release, coming in October 2024, includes an assortment of new features for your Practifi instance. Winter '25 Release Benefits

The Winter '25 Release introduces a number of enhancements:

• An assortment of new tools and enhancements for system administrators, designed to make managing users, permissions and reports much simpler:
  • Do More with Custom Report Types
  • Get Insight into How a User’s Permissions Are Granted
  • See How Object Access Is Granted in Object Manager
  • Manage Public Group Membership More Easily
  • Manage Details About a User in One Place
• New and improved tools in Flow Builder:
  • Select Multiple Choices with Choice Lookup Component
  • Create or Update Records Efficiently with the Create Records Element
  • Provide a Better Screen Flow Experience with Action Buttons has been promoted from a beta feature to generally available, with multiple enhancements delivered in the process.
• A modernized record experience for portals that improves page load times.

Potential Winter '25 Impacts

If your firm sends emails from your Practifi instance, there are two updates you should be aware of:

• Create and Verify Your Default No-Reply Organization-Wide Email Address to Send Email: If you’re currently using an Organization-Wide Address to send emails, then your system administrator will have to verify that the email address actually exists in order to keep using it. This change is being enforced in Winter ‘25, meaning that if verification hasn’t happened, then those emails will no longer be sent.
• Verify Your Return Email Address for Sender Verification: The same verification is required for emails sent by individual users from their personal work addresses. However, the update is only being introduced in Winter '25. It will be enforced in the Spring '25 release scheduled for February 2025.
