Overview
The Meeting Prep workspace is a focused environment designed to help you prepare for a client meeting. It brings together everything you need to prepare in one place: a structured prep Note, Chat scoped to the client, and quick access to the client's Noticeboard posts and Dispatches.
The prep Note is generated automatically before you even open the workspace. When a meeting comes into scope, Sentir drafts the Note in the background. By the time you sit down to prepare, the work is already started.
This article covers how to open the workspace, what's in it, and how to use each component to prepare effectively.

Opening the Workspace
From the Noticeboard
When a meeting is coming up, an automated reminder post is generated to the Noticeboard on the Home page and the related Client record. The post displays the meeting title and the date and time. To open the Meeting Prep workspace from there, click the Open Workspace icon at the bottom right of the post.
From an Event Record
You can also open the Meeting Prep workspace directly from the Event record. Navigate to the event, then click the Open Workspace button on the Meeting Digest tab.
The Workspace Layout
The Meeting Prep workspace has three zones:
- Chat on the left, already scoped to the client. Ask any question that the prep Note doesn't cover; the conversation persists across sessions, so you can come back to it the next day.
- The prep Note in the center of the workspace. Here you'll find a structured Note pre-drafted from your firm's selected template that you can add to leading up to the meeting.
- The entity context panel on the right lets you switch between the client's recent Noticeboard posts and their Dispatches. Use it to orient yourself to the relationship without leaving the workspace.
You can use the Hide/Show Chat and Hide/Show entity context icons to toggle the side panels open or closed, and there are two Enter Full Screen icons if you want to focus on the prep Note alone.
Working with the Prep Note
The prep Note is the centerpiece of the workspace. Sentir drafts it automatically from your firm's preferred prep template when the meeting comes into scope, meaning you don't need to generate it manually. By the time you open the workspace, it's already populated with relevant context from the Client record.
The prep Note is fully editable. Add agenda items, update sections, and add content blocks to reflect what you want to focus on in the meeting. Click the Save icon in the Note header to save your changes.

Using Chat in the Workspace
Chat in the Meeting Prep workspace is already scoped to the client you're preparing to meet with. You don't need to select an entity or set up context. The conversation is ready to go when you open the workspace.
Use Chat to ask questions the prep Note doesn't answer: a specific holding, a recent event, something you want to verify before the meeting. The conversation persists across sessions. If you open the workspace again the next day, your previous questions and answers are still there.
Please note: Chat in the workspace behaves the same as Chat on the client record. For more on how Chat works, including quick prompts and conversation management, see Using Chat in Sentir.
Using the Entity Context Panel
The entity context panel on the right gives you a read on the client without leaving the workspace. You can switch between two views:
- Noticeboard — The client's recent Noticeboard posts. Use this to check what has come up recently, what alerts are active, and whether anything needs to be addressed in the meeting.
- Dispatches — The client's current Dispatches, including the General Briefing. Use this to scan the relationship overview and switch to any specialist Dispatch before the meeting.
Click between the two views using the tabs at the top of the panel.
Accessing the Prep Note on the Meetings Page
Once the prep Note has been created, it's accessible from the Meetings page. Select the relevant meeting from the list, and the Note appears below the Key Details section, titled Meeting prep: [meeting title].
To make changes, click the actions menu in the top right corner of the Note card and select Edit Note. This opens the Note in the Note Editor, where you can revise or add content before the meeting.
After the meeting, the prep Note stays on the Event record as a permanent record of how you prepared.
