Overview
Dispatches is the surface in Sentir that hosts AI-generated insights on a Client record. It surfaces the work of Sentir's agents: the General Briefing that gives you a full picture of the relationship, and focused reports written by specialist agents, each reading the relationship through their area of expertise.
When you open a Client record, the Dispatches component is there and ready for review. The General Briefing, a comprehensive, plain-English summary of the relationship, is displayed by default. From there, you can switch to a specialist's Dispatch, take action on what you read, and bring any Dispatch into a Chat conversation without re-explaining the context.
This article covers where to find Dispatches, how to read the General Briefing and specialist Dispatches, and the actions available on each one.
Finding Dispatches
On a Client Record
The Dispatches component lives on the Overview tab of every Client record. Open a Client record, navigate to the Overview tab, and the Dispatches component is already there with the General Briefing loaded.
Under each section of the General Briefing, you'll see icons indicating which agents contributed that content. You can hover over the icons to view the agents' names.
Click on the agent icons or the link icon to view the agent names and cited sources in a new window.
From the About this content window, clicking on the name of an agent takes you to that agent's Dispatch in the Dispatches component.
On Group, User, and Division Records
The Dispatches component also appears on the Overview tab within Group, User, and Division record pages. In these contexts, the component aggregates intelligence across the collection of entities that surface covers: an advisor's book of business on the User record, for example, or all entities in a division on the Division record.
On the Executive Home Page
In the Executive app, the Dispatches component appears on the Home page, providing leadership with a view of what's happening at the division level. The General Briefing is loaded by default, and you can use the selector to switch to a specialist Dispatch just as you would on a record.
In the Meeting Prep Workspace
You can access a client's Dispatches when preparing for an upcoming meeting. In the Meeting Prep workspace, you'll find a Dispatches tab alongside the Noticeboard tab, giving you access to the General Briefing and all specialist Dispatches without leaving the prep experience.
To open the Meeting Prep workspace from a Noticeboard post, click the Open Workspace icon. From an Event record, click the Open Workspace button. To learn more about this feature, see our article on Using the Meeting Prep Workspace in Sentir.
Reading a Dispatch
The General Briefing
The General Briefing is the primary Dispatch and the default view in the Dispatches component. It's a comprehensive, plain-English summary of the client relationship — who the client is, the shape of their wealth, recent activity, things to watch — assembled from the relationship data on the record.
Dispatches are organized into sections, each covering a distinct aspect of the relationship. An In this report panel at the top lists hyperlinked section names you can click to jump to any of them directly. Sections are tailored to the data available on each client record. Sections might include:
- Relationship trajectory
- Portfolio, goals & concentration
- Estate, trust & [family member]'s role
- Operational status & open threads
Every statement in the General Briefing is cited back to its source. Superscript numbers link each observation to the specific record, document, or interaction the agent used to produce it (see Citations below).
The General Briefing refreshes automatically whenever a material change occurs on the record. You do not need to regenerate it. If you want to capture a General Briefing (or any Dispatch) at a specific point in time, you can save it as a Note (see the Save as Note section below).
Specialist Dispatches
Alongside the General Briefing, the Dispatches component surfaces focused reports written by specialist agents. Each specialist reads the relationship through its own lens. The Investment Advisor agent might provide its read on a client's portfolio, while an Estate Planning Assistant might present an analysis of a complex family structure. These go deeper than the General Briefing on their specific domain.
To switch Dispatches, use the selector at the top of the Dispatches component.
All available Dispatches are organized into three groups:
-
Operational Context
- General Briefing
- Practice Manager
- Relationship Historian
- Relationship Navigator
-
Domain Experts
- Business Ownership Advisor
- Estate Planning Assistant
- Financial Planning Assistant
- Investment Advisor
- Philanthropy Advisor
- Retirement Planning Assistant
- Risk and Insurance Advisor
- Tax Planning Assistant
-
Analytical Perspectives
- Emotional Intelligence Advisor
- Engagement Advisor
- Growth Strategist
- Intergenerational Advisor
- Life Events Advisor
Select any Dispatch to load it in the component. To learn more about the agents that create these Dispatches, see our article on Understanding Sentir Agents.
Please note: The specialist Dispatches available to you depend on how your firm has configured its agents. Not every specialist type will appear for every client, and your firm may not have all agent types enabled. Contact your System Administrator if you expect a Dispatch that isn't appearing.
Citations
Every Dispatch includes citations, superscript numbers that link each statement back to the specific record, document, or interaction the agent used to produce it. If a Dispatch describes a client's portfolio allocation, you can follow the citation to see exactly what data drove that description.
This matters for two reasons:
- First, it lets you verify what the agent is saying. If a claim looks off, the citation tells you where to look.
- Second, it gives your compliance team a record of what the AI produced and on what basis. Click any citation to open the About this content window with a full list of cited records.
Taking Action from a Dispatch
The top-right corner of the Dispatches component has two buttons. The Expand icon opens the View Dispatches window. Clicking the caret opens the actions menu, where you can see the options for acting on the Dispatch you're viewing.
Expand
Click the expand icon to open the current Dispatch in a View Dispatches pop-up window for closer reading.
You can switch between Dispatches and use the icons in the View Dispatches window to return to the top of the Dispatch, discuss in Chat, or save the current Dispatch as a Note.
Discuss in Chat
From any Dispatch, click the caret and select Discuss in Chat to open a Chat conversation already scoped to the Dispatch you're reading. You can ask follow-up questions, dig deeper on a specific finding, or explore anything the Dispatch raised without re-explaining the context. Chat already knows what you were just reading.
You can also trigger Discuss in Chat on an individual section of a Dispatch rather than the full report. This scopes the conversation to that section, which is useful when one part of the Dispatch needs more attention than the rest. Hover over the section heading and select the Chat icon.
Save as Note
Click the caret and select Save as Note to save the full content of the current Dispatch as a permanent Note on the Client record, with citations intact. This creates a point-in-time snapshot. If the Dispatch refreshes later because something on the record changed, the saved Note does not update; it reflects what the AI produced at the moment you clicked Save as Note.
In the Save As Note window, the Note is given an automatically generated title with the name of the Dispatch and the date it was written. You can edit the title and assign a category before clicking Save.
Notes saved from the Dispatches component appear on the record's Documents tab in the Notes section.
Manage Rules
Click the caret and select Manage Rules to create or adjust rules that tune how agents frame their guidance for the specific client you're viewing. Rules let you give agents additional context about the relationship (e.g., a preference for how a particular topic is handled) without affecting how agents work across the rest of your book.
In the Manage Rules window, select a rule to modify it or click the New button to create a rule for the client.
Please note: Rules created or modified here apply to this client only. Firm-wide and division-level rules are managed by your System Administrator.
Things to Know
- Dispatches are generated automatically. You don't trigger them manually. Agent output refreshes whenever something material changes on the record.
- Which Dispatches are available depends on your firm. Admins can enable or disable specific agents based on what your firm does. If you expect to see a specialist Dispatch that isn't appearing, contact your System Administrator.
- Output deepens over time. Dispatches are created from the data in the record. Logged interactions, complete financial data, and accurately mapped relationships enrich what agents can produce.
- Dispatches support your professional judgment. Each Dispatch includes a reminder that its content doesn't constitute investment, legal, or tax advice. Double-check agents' observations before acting.
