Staying Up to Date with the Noticeboard in Sentir

Follow

Overview

The Noticeboard is a unified alert surface that shows what needs attention, whether you're viewing it on the Home page or in a Client record. It brings together posts from your team, alerts automatically generated by AI agents, follow-up actions, and system-generated reminders into a single prioritized feed.

Every post in the Noticeboard is actionable in place. You can respond to a follow-up suggestion, discuss a client alert in Chat, open a meeting workspace, or dismiss a post you have already handled — without leaving the page. Posts are ordered by importance and refresh automatically so the board always reflects what needs attention right now.

You can also create your own posts to flag important information for your team — a life event, a relationship update, anything worth highlighting on the record.

Finding the Noticeboard

On a Client or Prospect Record

The Noticeboard appears on the Overview tab on Client and Prospect records. Posts shown here are scoped to that entity. They cover what is happening with this specific client and are visible to everyone on the servicing team.

On the Home Page

The Noticeboard also appears on the Home page as your personal Noticeboard. Unlike the Noticeboard on a client record, which is scoped to that one relationship, your Home page Noticeboard aggregates posts from across your entire book of business. It shows you what needs attention today, across all the clients and relationships you service.

The Home page Noticeboard is separate from the Feed, which also appears there. When nothing needs your attention, the Noticeboard shows the message "You're all caught up."

Other Places You'll See the Noticeboard

You'll also find the Noticeboard in a few other places:

  • Expanded view: Click the View all posts icon at the top of the Noticeboard component to open the Noticeboard in a new workspace tab.

  • Group records: On a Group record, the Noticeboard aggregates posts across the group's members.

  • Meeting Prep workspace: The entity context panel on the right side of the workspace lets you switch between the client's recent Noticeboard posts and their Dispatches. To learn more, see Using the Meeting Prep Workspace in Sentir.

Post Types

Four types of posts appear in the Noticeboard.

  1. Team updates: Posts created manually by you or a colleague to flag important information about a client. Use these to record a life event, highlight a change in a relationship, or share context the team should be aware of.
  2. Agent-written alerts: Posts generated automatically by Sentir's agents when something needs attention. For example: a client who hasn't been contacted in 90 days, or a change in relationship status that warrants a follow-up. Your firm's System Administrator can configure whether agents are allowed to author these posts.
  3. Follow-up items: Suggested follow-ups generated from meeting activity, Feed posts, and Notes. You can accept or decline action items directly from the post.
  4. Automated reminders: System-generated posts for upcoming dates and events such as client birthdays, client anniversaries, and upcoming meetings. These are generated on a schedule. Your firm's System Administrator can configure which reminders are generated and how far in advance they appear. If you dismiss a reminder, follow-up reminders can appear closer to the date. Meeting reminders include an Open Workspace action that takes you directly into the Meeting Prep workspace for that event.

Posts are color-coded by status so you can see at a glance what needs immediate attention.

Each post's color tells you its status:

  • Warning: Yellow
  • Success: Green
  • Informational: Blue

Acting on a Post

Every Noticeboard post can be acted on in place. The actions available depend on the post type and where you're viewing the Noticeboard.

Discuss is available on all post types except follow-up items, across every location. It opens a Chat conversation pre-scoped to the post, so you can ask follow-up questions or explore the context without leaving the Noticeboard. The conversation loads in a background tab or in the foreground, depending on your firm's configuration. Even a simple birthday reminder can become a conversation. For example, you could ask the assistant for help with gift ideas.

Team update and agent-written posts have a caret that opens a dropdown menu with the following options:

  • Edit: Available on team update posts you created. Opens the post for editing.
  • Archive: Removes the post from the active Noticeboard while keeping it saved in the record. Archived posts can be viewed and restored from the Noticeboard tab. See Managing Posts below.
  • Delete: Permanently removes the post from the record. Delete access is controlled by permission sets. See Delete a Post below.

Follow-up item and reminder posts don't have a caret. Instead, they surface inline actions:

  • Complete (✓): Available on follow-up item posts. Marks the suggested action as done and removes the post from your Noticeboard.
  • Dismiss (X): Dismisses the post and removes it from your view. Dismissing a reminder may trigger a follow-up reminder closer to the date, depending on how your administrator has configured reminders.

You can also click the hyperlinked name of the record that triggered the reminder to view it in a new tab.

Meeting reminder posts have an Open Workspace icon that opens the Meeting Prep workspace for that client in a new tab.

Creating a Post

You can create a team update post on any Client, Prospect, or Group record to share information with the rest of the team. To create a Noticeboard post:

  1. Open a Client, Prospect, or Group record and navigate to the Overview tab.
  2. In the Noticeboard component, click the plus icon. The New Post window opens.

  3. Add the content of the post in the text editor. You can format the text using the toolbar.
  4. Select a Category for the post: Warning, Success, or Informational.
  5. Optionally, set an Archive Date for the post to be automatically archived on a specific date.
  6. When finished, click Create. The post is added to the Noticeboard and visible to everyone with access to the record.

Managing Posts

Edit a Post

You can edit a team update post you've created. To edit a Noticeboard post:

  1. In the Noticeboard component, click the caret on the post you want to edit, then select Edit. The post opens for editing.

  2. Make the desired changes, then click Save.

Archive a Post

Archiving a post removes it from the active Noticeboard but keeps it saved on the record. You can set a post to archive automatically on a specific date (via the Archive Date field when creating the post), or archive it manually at any time.

To manually archive a post, click the caret on the post, then select Archive. The post is removed from the active Noticeboard.

View Archived Posts

To view all archived posts for a record, click the View All icon at the top of the Noticeboard component. The Noticeboard tab opens.

The Noticeboard tab shows active posts by default. You can use the search field to search for posts or toggle the view to see archived posts. You can also click on a post to view it in a pop-up, click the Discuss button, or click the caret to edit, archive, unarchive, or delete it.

Unarchive a Post

If a post has been archived in error, you can restore it to the active Noticeboard. To unarchive a post:

  1. Click the View All icon in the Noticeboard component to open the Noticeboard Posts tab.
  2. On the Noticeboard tab, click the Archived button at the top of the list.
  3. On the post you want to restore, click the caret, then select Unarchive. The post is restored to the active Noticeboard.

Delete a Post

Please note: Delete access is controlled using permission sets. By default, only system administrators can delete Noticeboard posts. Once deleted, a post cannot be recovered. Consider archiving a post rather than deleting it if you may need to refer to it later.

To delete a Noticeboard post, click the caret on the post, then select Delete.
