Overview
Task Setup Bundles streamline your workflow configuration by packaging all the elements needed for common tasks into reusable templates. Instead of manually recreating the same task structure, Active Form fields, checklists, and outcomes each time you need them, you can deploy a complete task configuration in seconds. This is particularly valuable for wealth management firms where consistency across client interactions and regulatory documentation is essential.
Task Setup Bundles allow you to standardize how your team captures information, ensuring that every client onboarding, compliance review, or fund transfer follows the same thorough process. This article explains how to create, import, and deploy Task Setup Bundles in your Practifi instance.

What Task Setup Bundles Include
Task Setup Bundles contain all the configuration elements that make up a Process Task or Task Template. When you create or import a bundle, these components are preserved and can be deployed together:
- Actions
- Active Form Display Criteria
- Active Form Fields
- Active Form Sections
- Active Form Field Assignments
- Outcomes
- Preset Checklist Items
This comprehensive approach means you’re not just copying task details but capturing the entire data collection and workflow structure that makes the task functional.
Pre-Built Task Setup Bundles
Practifi provides three pre-built Task Setup Bundles designed for common wealth management scenarios. These bundles help you quickly deploy standardized processes without having to build from scratch.
For Practifi organizations created after the Barbaresco release in April 2025, these Task Setup Bundles are included by default. You can find them on the Setup Bundles page in the Settings app.
Please note: If your Practifi instance was created before the Barbaresco release, contact Practifi Support to add these pre-built Task Setup Bundles to your organization.
Confirm Client Details
Use this bundle to create tasks that update key household and member information through a structured Active Form with tables.
What’s included:
- Primary Member table (Name, Date of Birth, SSN)
- Members table (Name, Date of Birth, SSN)
- Driver’s License or Other ID section (Person, Document Name, Type, Document Number, Issue Date, Expiration Date, Entity)
This bundle is ideal for annual reviews, onboarding, or compliance-driven information updates where accurate client data is critical.
Fund Transfer
Use this bundle to document fund movements between financial accounts with structured data collection.
What’s included:
- Transfer Information section (Client, Date Requested, Transfer Type)
- Transfer Details section (Transfer Amount)
- Transfer From Account section (Manual Entry or Existing Account, Existing Asset, Withdrawal Account Number, Withdrawal Routing Number)
- Transfer To Account section (Manual Entry or Existing Account, Existing Asset, Deposit Account Number, Deposit Routing Number)
This bundle ensures your team captures all required information for fund transfers, reducing errors and supporting audit requirements.
Log Client Communication
Use this bundle to create standardized communication logs across your team.
What’s included:
- Communication Details section (Communication Method: Phone, Email, or Other)
- Communication Date and Time fields
- Related Files section
- Communication Details text area
By standardizing how communications are logged, you create consistent documentation across your firm, making it easier to review client interaction history and maintain compliance records.
Creating Task Setup Bundles
You can create Task Setup Bundles in two ways: building from scratch or importing from an existing Process Task or Task Template. Both approaches give you flexibility to match your workflow needs.
Building From Scratch
Creating a bundle from scratch gives you complete control over what’s included and allows you to design the task structure specifically for your use case.
To create a new Task Setup Bundle:
-
Navigate to the Settings app by clicking the App Launcher in the upper left-hand corner.
-
Click the caret icon next to Settings and click Setup Bundles from the drop-down menu.
-
Click the New Setup Bundle button.
- Enter the bundle name in the Subject field and click Save.
- Add configuration items using the same interface you would use for a Process Task or Task Template (Active Form fields, outcomes, checklist items, etc.).
Building from scratch works well when you’re creating a unique workflow or want to carefully curate exactly what’s included in the bundle.
Importing From an Existing Process Task or Task Template
If you’ve already built a Process Task or Task Template that works well, you can convert it into a reusable bundle. This approach saves time when you want to replicate a proven workflow.
To import configuration from an existing task:
- Navigate to the Process Task or Task Template record page you want to convert.
-
Click the Save to Bundle action.
- Choose whether to create a new bundle or add the configuration to an existing bundle.
Please note: All configuration items from the Process Task or Task Template will be imported into the bundle. You cannot select items individually during import, but you can delete unnecessary items after the bundle is created.
Using Task Setup Bundles
Once you’ve created or identified a Task Setup Bundle, you can deploy it to any Process Task or Task Template. This is where the efficiency benefits become clear: instead of manually recreating task configurations, you deploy a complete setup in moments.
To add a Task Setup Bundle to a Process Task or Task Template:
- Navigate to the Process Task or Task Template record page where you want to add the configuration.
-
Click the Add Bundle action.
- Select which bundle to import from the list.
The bundle’s configuration items will be added to your Process Task or Task Template, ready to use. This flexibility allows you to standardize core workflows while still customizing specific instances when needed.
Please note: All configuration items from the Task Setup Bundle will be imported. You cannot select items individually during import, but you can delete unnecessary items after adding the bundle.
Enabling Task Setup Bundles
Task Setup Bundles are enabled by default in your Practifi instance. However, the Setup Bundles page may not display the New Setup Bundle button until your administrator makes it available.
To add the New Setup Bundle button:
- Navigate to Salesforce Setup.
- Go to Object Manager and open the Process Task object.
- Click List View Button Layout.
- Edit the list to add the New Setup Bundle action.
Please note: The Setup Bundles page appears near the bottom of the Settings app list. To change the order in which pages appear, click Edit to rearrange, then click Save.
