Overview
Record lists appear in several places, most often on the Records tab of a record page and on app pages such as Activities and Work. A list is one way to see a set of records, but not the only one. Depending on the list, the same records can also be displayed in Board, Calendar, Conversation, and Card views. Each view presents the same data differently: Calendar organizes records by date, and Board groups them into columns you can drag records between.
The List view is the default, and the other views appear only where they make sense for the records in the list. Your view selection applies to your own account and doesn't change what your teammates see.
This article covers how to switch between views, what each view is best for, and where to find each one.

Switching Views
Full-page lists include a view picker above the list. To change how the list is displayed, click the Switch View icon and select a view. The views offered depend on the list you're looking at; the Where You'll Find Each View section below summarizes what's available where.
A list keeps its full set of views even when it's empty, so you can switch views before any records exist in the list.
List View
The List view is the default view for every record list in Sentir. Records appear as rows in a table that you can sort and filter, making it the quickest way to scan a large number of records, compare them across columns, and narrow the list down to exactly what you need.
Card View
The Card view displays each record as an interactive card instead of a table row. Cards carry a color-coded badge that reflects how close the record is to its due date, making this view a natural fit for working through Tasks: you can see at a glance which items need attention first. The Card view is available on Tasks, Calls, and Events lists.
Board View
The Board view arranges records as cards in columns, where each column represents a stage or status. To update a record's status, drag its card from one column to another. Like the List view, the Board view supports grouping and filtering, so it's well suited to scanning work in progress and moving it forward without opening each record.
The Board view appears only on lists where you can move records between stages yourself, such as My Open Deals and Active Services. If a list's records don't have a stage you can change directly, the Board view won't be offered there.
Calendar View
The Calendar view places date-bound records on a date grid, so you can see how your Tasks, Calls, and Events are distributed across the week or month rather than reading dates from a column. Any list whose records carry a date field can offer a Calendar view. The toggle in the upper-right corner lets you switch between viewing the entire month and the current work week. To change a record's date, drag it to a new day on the grid. Clicking the filter pills will apply filters to the results displayed
Conversation View
The Conversation view groups the messages in an email list into threaded conversations, so an exchange reads as a single back-and-forth rather than a flat list of individual messages. Click the caret to the left of a message to view its content.
Please note: The Conversation view is available only on Emails list views. You won't see it offered on any other type of record list.
Where You'll Find Each View
Which views a list offers is determined by the type of records it contains, and the same pattern holds whether you're on the Records tab or an app page. The List view is available everywhere.
| Where | List | Available Views |
|---|---|---|
| Record page > Records tab | Tasks | List, Card, Board, and Calendar |
| Record page > Records tab | Emails | List and Conversation |
| Record page > Records tab | Calls | List, Card, and Calendar |
| Record page > Records tab | Events | List, Card, and Calendar |
| Activities | Calls | List, Card, and Calendar |
| Activities | Events | List, Card, and Calendar |
| Activities | Emails | List and Conversation |
| Work | Tasks | List, Card, and Calendar |
| Work | Processes | List, Card, and Calendar |
| Work | Projects | List, Card, and Calendar |
Within a Project record, the Board, List, and Calendar tabs are part of the record page rather than list views, and they operate differently from the views described in this article. To learn more, check out our article on Using Projects in Sentir.
