Overview
Sentir comes with three purpose-built apps accessible from the App Launcher in the top-left of the page. Each app is shaped around a different job to be done. To get the most out of the platform, you should work in the app that best matches your role. This article outlines what each app contains and highlights the different areas of Home and record page layouts.
What's in an App?
Before we proceed, it's worth making sure you're familiar with what goes into an app. Sentir is built from pages, and each page allows users to perform specific tasks in the system, such as browsing a list of clients, reviewing an activity timeline, or managing a process. These pages fall into three categories:
- Home pages - The default landing page users see when they open the app and the topmost item in the Navigation Menu.
- App pages - The individual items in the app's Navigation Menu.
- Record pages - The page that's displayed when opening a specific record, such as a Client, a Task, or a Process.
Record pages display the same content regardless of which app you're in. When users open a Client record, a Task, or any other record in the system, everyone sees the same page. What differs between apps is the Home page and the pages available in the Navigation menu.
Each app comes with its own:
- Home page built around the priorities of that app's audience
- Navigation menu with hand-picked app pages
- Record tables with rows, columns, filters, and other controls
The apps included in Sentir are either a primary app for a particular user role or a specialty app opened for specific tasks.
How Pages Are Organized
Both Home pages and record pages follow the same three-zone layout. Learning it once means you know where to look everywhere.
Zone 1 (header) shows who or what you're looking at: the record name, key highlights, its stage and related details, and the actions you can take (Edit, Add Work, etc.). A breadcrumb trail below the header shows where the record sits in the firm hierarchy. Each segment of the trail is clickable, and the first node is always the top-level page (e.g., Home or Directory), so you can get back to your starting point from anywhere.
Zone 2 (main workspace) is the primary content area, organized into tabs. On Client and Prospect records, the standard tabs are Overview, Timeline, Details, Records, and Documents. The same structure carries across record types, so you always know where to find a record's activity history or related records.
Zone 3 (sidebar) is where you talk to your AI assistant via Chat and to teammates via the Feed. On some records, this space is used for record-specific tools instead: a Task, for example, shows its Checklist and Deliverables here.
Records always open on the Overview tab, a curated landing that puts the most important information first: the General Briefing, key record details, and the Noticeboard. From there, you can move to any other tab or ask a question in Chat without leaving the record.
Primary Apps
Sentir includes three primary apps, each built for a distinct audience within the firm. Rather than small variations on a shared template, each app has a Home page, a Navigation menu, and a data lens that reflects the actual job of the people using it.
Front Office
The Front Office app is for people who work directly with clients, including advisors and client service teams. Its Home page leads with book-level metrics (Assets Under Management, Pipeline Value, Closed Year-to-Date, and Tasks) and surfaces relationship insights front and center: the Noticeboard with prioritized alerts, an Out of Touch component to flag relationships that need attention, and a Top Clients view.
The Navigation menu is built around client-facing work. The Front Office app has the following pages:
- Home
- Chat
- Meetings
- Activities
- Directory
- Servicing & Pipeline
- Work
- Notes
- Analytics
Everything in the app is scoped to the running user's own book, with other views available. By default, records appear based on ownership and servicing team membership rather than across the whole firm.
Back Office
The Back Office app is shaped around work rather than relationships. It is designed for operations staff who manage tasks, processes, projects, and deliverables across the firm, rather than maintaining a personal client book.
Its Home page is an operations cockpit: work-item rows for Tasks, Processes, Projects, and Deliverables broken down by state (Open, Due Soon, Overdue, Completed, Canceled), a queue of incoming tasks, and team-level monitoring for stalled processes. There's no Noticeboard, no Top Clients list, and no relationship-intelligence lead. The focus is on what needs to get done.
The following pages appear in the Navigation menu:
- Home
- Chat
- Directory
- Records
- Work
- Notes
- Analytics
Executive
The Executive app is shaped around division health for firm leadership. Rather than a personal book or a work queue, it operates at the division level and is designed for users who operate across the firm rather than within it.
Its Home page leads with a Key Metrics band showing AUM, Pipeline Value, Closed Year-to-Date, Open Processes, New Clients (90 days), and Lost Clients (90 days), scoped to a selected division. The Dispatches component provides AI-generated insights at the firm or division level.
The Executive app deliberately omits work-item lists and the activity timeline. Leaders work at a higher level of detail, and the app reflects that. As a result, there are fewer items in the Navigation menu:
- Home
- Chat
- Directory
- Servicing & Pipeline
- Analytics
Specialty Apps
In addition to the three primary apps, Sentir includes two specialty apps. These are not intended for day-to-day client work. One is for new users, while the other helps administrators configure Sentir for their firms.
Welcome
The Welcome app is the landing page that greets users on their first sign-in and serves as a convenient home base for orientation and app access. It is organized into two areas: a welcome message on the left, and a panel on the right that brings together learning and support resources alongside a list of the apps available to that user.
From the Welcome app, users can open the Practifi Success portal to access product guides and submit support requests, launch PractifiU to find assigned courses and the full learning catalog, and click directly into whichever primary app they want to use. Which apps appear in the list depends on the user's level of access, so not everyone will see all three.

Settings
The Settings app is the administrative hub for Sentir. It contains configuration pages for Process Types, Entity Management, Work, and more, alongside two major management surfaces: Access Management and Intelligence Features.
Access Management gives administrators a single hub where they can browse users, manage profiles and licenses, assign Permission Set Groups, and grant individual features, with a live readout of license usage. Bulk actions allow the same change to be applied across multiple users at once.
Intelligence Features is where AI capabilities are customized. Administrators can configure Dispatches behavior, manage Notetaker settings, and review agent activity through monitoring and audit trails.
A permission set controls access to the Settings app. It is intended for System Administrators and Super Users, not Standard Users.
Managing App Assignment
Admins configure app access in Access Management, found in the Settings app. Each user's app access is determined by permission sets. For more information about managing user permissions in Sentir, see our Creating and Managing Sentir Users in Access Management article.
