Overview
Your firm's technology stack doesn't exist in isolation, and neither does Practifi. Integrations connect Practifi to the tools your team already uses, whether that's portfolio management software, document management platforms, calendar and email applications, financial planning tools, or marketing automation systems. When your systems share data, your advisors spend less time on manual data entry and more time focused on clients.
Practifi supports a wide range of integrations, from self-service connections you can enable directly within your organization to custom integrations built around your firm's specific technology ecosystem. This article explains how integrations work in Practifi, what to expect from the setup process, and how to get started.

How Integrations Work in Practifi
Practifi is built on a robust platform designed to connect with the tools that wealth management firms rely on every day. Integrations can surface data from external systems directly within Practifi, automate information flows between platforms, reduce duplicate data entry, and give advisors a more complete picture of each client relationship without switching between applications.
Because every firm's technology environment is different, Practifi integrations are not one-size-fits-all. Some are ready to enable immediately, while others are scoped and built specifically for your firm based on your existing systems and goals.
Understanding Integration Types
Native and Pre-Built Integrations
Practifi includes native integrations and pre-built connections with commonly used tools in the wealth management space. These integrations are designed to be enabled within your Practifi organization without requiring a bespoke development project. Where dedicated setup documentation exists for a specific integration, you'll find it in the Integration Setup section of the Practifi Success portal.
Some integrations of this type include calendar and email sync tools, as well as marketing automation platforms. For example, Practifi supports calendar and email sync with Microsoft 365.
Custom and Project-Based Integrations
Integrations can also be built specifically for your firm and scoped as projects rather than enabled through an established process. These custom integrations are designed around your existing systems, your data structure, and what you're trying to accomplish. The approach will vary depending on the tools and platforms involved.
Because the scope and complexity of custom integrations differ from firm to firm, there's no standardized self-service setup for these connections. Your Client Success Manager or the Practifi Support team can walk you through what's involved, what a typical engagement looks like, and how to get the process started.
Please note: Custom integrations are scoped individually for each firm. If you're exploring a connection with a specific tool or provider, reaching out early in the planning process gives your Client Success Manager the best opportunity to assess feasibility and build an appropriate timeline.
Not Finding What You Need?
If a tool or provider isn't showing up in the Practifi Success portal, that doesn't mean the connection isn't possible. New integrations are added over time, and some options are set up on a per-firm basis. The fastest way to get a clear answer is to reach out to your Client Success Manager or contact Practifi Support directly.
When you get in touch, it helps to share the name of the tool or provider you have in mind, as well as what you're hoping to accomplish with the connection. The more context you can provide about your goals, the more quickly we can point you in the right direction.
