The Email to Box extension will automatically separate an email attachment from an email and place it in a Box folder. An interaction will also be created in Practifi with a link to the attachment stored in Box. You will need Practifi System Administrator permissions to install and enable the Box extension.
- Firstly, you will have to install the Box Integration in Salesforce. See details in the below link for installing and enabling Box Integration: https://success.practifi.com/hc/en-us/articles/227911368-Installing-and-Enabling-the-Box-Integration
- Next, you will need to install an Email to Salesforce extension, for example, Riva, Lightning for Outlook or Lightning for Gmail.
- Then, install the “Practifi for Box” managed package.
- “Practifi for Box” is a separate managed package that needs to be installed in your instance of Salesforce. While logged into your instance of Practifi install “Practifi for Box” by navigating to: https://login.salesforce.com/packaging/installPackage.apexp?p0=04t7F000003itDw
- Select Install for All Users.
- To enable the integration in Practifi:
- Go to Salesforce setup in the Settings menu (top right menu).
- In the left hand menu in the Salesforce interface, navigate to Develop then click Custom Settings.
- Select “Practifi for Box Settings” then click Manage, then click New.
- Enter “Folder Name” and choose the option for “Delete Files When Successful”.
- Enable ‘Enhanced Email’ in Salesforce setup.
- Go to Salesforce setup in the Settings menu (top right menu).
- In the left hand menu in the Salesforce interface, navigate to Customize then, Email then, Enhanced Email, then click Enabled.
- Create a schedule job to set how often the integration should run. There are a number of methods to create a schedule. A trigger to enable 'Email Message' must also be set. Contact Practifi Support for assistance.
Limitation:
If the attached file is larger than 3MB (approximate size), it would not attach the interaction. However, it will remain as an attachment linked to Email Message record.
