Overview
PractifiU is Practifi's dedicated learning platform where your team can access training courses, feature walkthroughs, and best-practice guides to maximize their effectiveness with Practifi. Because PractifiU operates as a separate platform with its own authentication system, users maintain distinct login credentials for PractifiU and Practifi CRM.
As a Manager in PractifiU, you have the authority to reset user passwords and require users to create new passwords at their next login. This capability ensures your team maintains uninterrupted access to the training and resources they need to serve clients effectively.
Resetting a User’s Password
Follow these steps to reset a password for any user in your PractifiU environment:
Step 1: Access PractifiU as a Manager
Log in to PractifiU using your credentials. You must be designated as a Manager to reset user passwords. If you are not designated as a Manager and need this access, reach out to your firm’s Customer Service Manager (CSM) or to our Practifi Support team.
Step 2: Navigate to the users list
From the primary navigation menu on the left-hand side of the PractifiU screen, select Users to open your firm’s list of PractifiU users.
Step 3: Select the user
Select the user whose password you need to change. This will open the User’s Summary page.
Step 4: Initiate password reset
On the User’s Summary page, select the Set Password button.
Step 5: Configure the new password
In the Set a password for this user pop-up window, enter a temporary password and re-enter it in the Password Confirmation field.
Important: Check the User must change password on login box to ensure the user is required to create their own secure password upon their next login. This security best practice ensures that only the user knows their final password, and it helps maintain compliance with your firm’s security policies.
Step 6: Complete the password reset
Select Save to finalize the password change and alert the user of their temporary password, which they will use to log in and reset their password.
Considerations
Pending Users and Visibility
If a user’s profile does not display within your Users list, it is likely because they are a pending user and need to log in to PractifiU for the first time. Pending users are not associated with your group until their initial login and can only be viewed by Practifi.
